Kobe’s dagger 3 to seal the win for the Lakers tonight. This was huge and Kobe switching over to defend Ty Lawson in the 4th quarter was also big. I love when Kobe goes into “Defensive Stopper Kobe Mode” and “Playmaking Kobe Mode.” It’s a beauty to watch, especially when the other Laker players take advantage of it like they did tonight. #KobeSystem
Kobe arriving to the arena prior to Game 6.
He has gastroenteritis, but will still play (what’d you expect?). What’s gastroenteritis? According to webMD:
Gastroenteritis is a condition that causes irritation and inflammation of the stomach and intestines (the gastrointestinal tract). Most people recover easily from a short bout with vomiting and diarrhea by drinking fluids and easing back into a normal diet. Symptoms include a fever, vomiting, and nausea.
Cue MJ’s “Flu Game” footage folks.
Game Six is tonight. Get it done fellaz. Props to the “Flu Game” reference. LAL for life.
The Man is simply just poetry in motion.
Kobe “Jellybean” Bryant. You either Hate him or you Love him. Never before has there been such a polarizing figure in basketball. Closest thing the league’s had to Michael Jordan. Always been a fan of his. His talent. His creativity. But most of all, his relentless drive. He’s always owned up to everything. Always the first to admit his shortcomings. Always willing to polish his rough edges. Never placing the onus or the blame on something other than himself. Brutal self-honesty. Much respect.
God-given talent. Obsessive over-achiever.Uncanny work ethic. Keen understanding that his Game would never be a finished product. True Love for his craft. True Passion for Life. His Romance with the game of basketball is a seemingly never-ending Love story.
Kobe Bryant understood the following very cleary:
Romance isn’t a Mood. It’s a Lifestyle.
He’s reaching the twilight years of his career. Let’s all enjoy the time we all have left on the court with him.

This was also the 83rd career 30+ point playoff game for Kobe. He’s second to only Michael Jordan, who has 109.
Lakers arriving to Staples.
Just anozza day at the Office.

PLAYOFFS: ROUND 1: Game 2 — 5/1/2012
You always have to be on edge. You always have to treat every practice, every game, [every posession] like it is your last.

Dedicate yourself to each moment. Be fully present at all times for those around you. Never give up. Each possession, each instance, each ticking second, has the potential to be important.
Thirty-three years of age. Sixteen years of grueling NBA seasons under his belt. Over thirteen-hundred games played. Tens of thousands of minutes logged in the books. League MVP. Slam Dunk Champion. Fourteen time NBA All-Star. Four time All-Star Game MVP. Player of the Decade for 2000-2010. Countless other individual awards. Olympic Gold medalist. Five time NBA champion. Played practically two seasons with broken fingers on his shooting hand. Played all of last season with an arthritic bone-on-bone left knee. This season, he suffered a concussion & a broken nose (and didn’t even miss a game due to it). Forced to wear a protective mask for almost a dozen games.
…And yet he’s still chasing guys down the court like he’s still got something to prove.
If that’s not Love then I dunno what is.
And that, ladies & gents, is why I idolize Kobe Bryant.
I’m not sure what people call it these days. Mamba Mode. Kobe Time. Everyone-give-the-ball-to-Kobe-in-Iso moments. All I know is that it gives me some of the purest joy I can feel as a grown man to see him hit shots like these, when the game hangs in balance, right in an opponent’s face.

Nike Basketball Presents: Milano Kalibro Kobe
Can we say without a doubt that Kobe at least has the most interesting commercials of any current NBA player?
——- stories like J.Lin’s is the reason why i love sports! I’m jumping on the Lin train!IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Valentine’s Day. Asian Heritage Night in Toronto. Game Tied. Ten seconds left. Lin calls ISO. Three for the win. Madness ensues.
More Than Courage
Look me in the eye.
It’s ok if you’re scared.
So am I.
But we’re scared for different reasons.
I’m scared of what I won’t become.
And you’re scared of what I could become.
Look at me.
I won’t let myself end where I started.
I won’t let myself finish where I began.
I know what is within me, even if you can’t see it yet.
Look me in the eyes.
I have something more important than courage.
I have patience.
I will become what I know I am.
