Prayers are with you my fellow warrior. Keep on fighting.

It’s probably more legal than starting a war in Iraq based on lies. Probably.
think on this.: muchomegamountains: and for fucks sake, y’all. this is NOT ABOUT HOW...
and for fucks sake, y’all. this is NOT ABOUT HOW SOME DUDE IS GROSSED OUT BY THE WORD VAGINA.
this is about how the state of michigan just ended welfare eligibility for a HUGE portion of michiganders—of which A VAST PORTION OF THOSE PEOPLE ARE CHILDREN and of which a VAST PORTION OF THOSE CHILDREN ARE CHILDREN OF COLOR.
yes, it’s irritating that some old fucking rich white christian gags at the thought of vagina—but it’s a devastating moral, ethical and humanitarian CATASTROPHE that all those children of color that you are forcing to be born ARE GOING HUNGRY and WITHOUT ADEQUATE SHELTER as a result of your attacks on reproductive rights.
CHRIST.
Just once, I need us to all be looking in the RIGHT FUCKING DIRECTION.

Omg I almost snorted
As (noted problematic figure) Bill Maher said: giving people rights isn’t the slippery slope to giving animals those same rights. Giving women the right to vote didn’t lead to hamsters voting. -Jess

think4yourself: Dear http://karliemildraed.tumblr.com/
in response to your reblog of the story of GA senators walking out today in which you stated
“I would not want my tax money going towards paying for you to kill your baby.”
Let me clarify something for you. A baby is not an embyro developing inside a woman. An embryo is developing inside a woman. An embryo is not considered “fetus” until about 8 weeks. And fetus is not a baby until it is born. Living outside of it’s mothers womb.
Your tax dollars go towards killing all sorts of real, living breathing human beings. In the form of the death penalty for one example. (The wonderful state of GA just executed Troy Davis last summer.) its highly likely depending on your income level you contribute thousands of dollars to the murder of innocent civilians including CHILDREN in the form of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. How about your tax dollars that pay police officers that shoot and kill unarmed men and women? Where is your outrage, or your disgust with where that money is going?
Abortions are medically relevant procedures, and very few insurance plans cover them. Even in the event that a woman needs an abortion to save her own life. When the government passes bills like the ones expected to pass in GA, they are killing women. Not saving children. Yes, women have abortions to terminate unwanted pregnancies. But who are you to make that decision for someone? Or even to judge a woman who chooses to have one? To be completely honest with you, most insurance plans don’t cover that type of abortion anyways. But to make it illegal for insurance companies to cover them at all?! It’s shutting women off from our right to healthcare that could save our lives. You know, abortion in the case of dangerous life threatening pregnancies. The kind of abortions state insurance plans currently cover.
So if you’re ok with your tax dollars killing human beings, I don’t see why you’re so upset about tax dollars terminating pregnancies.

Jon Stewart almost makes me forget that I’m not gay. No homo. Man is a political/comedic genius.
Eight female state senators in Georgia walked out of the Senate chambers on Wednesday to protest two bills that hinder access to abortion and contraceptives. All eight female democratic senators left the chambers together after two bills they oppose passed the Republican-led Senate. From Atlanta’s WXIA, the legislation:
- Prohibits state employees from using state health benefits to pay for abortions
- Does not allow employees of private religious institutions to demand that their insurance policies pay for contraceptives
“We stood together to protest what we feel is absolutely a war on women here in Georgia and we want to sound the alert to Georgians,” said Sen. Nan Orrick.
Republican state senator Joshua McKoon said of the legislation, “What I would say is the war that’s being waged is on a religious minority in this country that has strong beliefs that are protected by the First Amendment.”
The bills now heads to the House, where both are expected to pass.
The senators who walked out: Sen. Gloria Butler, Sen. Gale Davenport, Sen. Nan Orrock, Sen. Freddie Powell Sims, Sen. Donzella James, Sen. Miriam Paris, Sen. Valencia Seay and Sen. Horacena Tate. Looks like I’ll be spending my Friday night emailing these senators to thank them for taking a stance on an incredibly important issue.

BREAKING NEWS: Texas lets 130,000 people (most of them women) lose access to affordable reproductive health.
Texas has decided to violate federal policies concerning the Women’s Health Program of Medicaid, and has lost $40 million of federal funding towards reproductive health care in the process. Way to go Texas! Now you’ve produced Rick Perry, W, and THIS abomination of legislation.
Click through to see what this means for reproductive rights in Texas, and to donate to Planned Parenthood.
Hmm … basically has the same deleterious effects as passing a law depriving people of health care … +5 to Texas.
Oh my god.
There is a Tumblr awarding points to states in the “race to the stone age”.
This is absolutely beautiful. TUMBLR FIND OF THE DAY.
Damn. I feel bad for y’all (young women of Texas).
